* Double-x complexxity is a coined term that refers to the higher level complexity, the more complex complexity, that has come into being through the interaction of an increasing number of factors that simultaneously increase the complexity and intensity of situations and decrease the capacity of citizens to individually comprehend the nature of those situations. Among those factors are (a) out of control volume, quantity, scope and scale; (b) fragmentation of life, experience and society; and (c) accelerating pace and novelty.
